M bored, dead bored, ceaselessly bored, monotonously bored, boringly bored…Ohh God!!!...my words dnt make sense nemore!!!....the exasperating regularity of the so very regular things going on in such a regular tempo each regular day is making me wacky……gosh...I need a break……n that too…quickly!!! I observe my mom flabbergasted…day in n day out…how she does the same housekeeping, emblematic homemaker kinda work….serving meals, shouting at servants, going to the temple assiduously twice a week, saving capital for her visits to d local Chinese beauty parlor twice a month, calling grandma at every sunset, laughing at dad’s not so comical shaggy dog stories, offering discourses to the maid on how to raise children n settle nuptial issues, washing dishes with the same vomit colored dish washing liquid,cutting vegetables with the same 1-side-plain-n-1-side-serrated knife, making the not-so-frugal grocery list, watching the same reality shows n crying-opera sort of mind-numbing serials…..sometimes complaining…..sometimes grousing…..but never endeavoring to do things differently. But I can’t stand this kind of ennui n tedium in life. I am bunking clg 4 d 2nd consecutive week now….without reasons of course….n life, sitting at home, isn’t really “happy-happy-ga-ga anymore. I am bored to tears with my day after day lackluster schedule……I AM BORED..... Bored of getting up at 10 amidst shouts n shrieks of ma n intermittent terrorizations that I’ll be returned to clg if I don’t raise early from the next morning(thankfully that next morning never arrives). Bored of brushing my teeth n flipping through the morning newspapers…both English n Bengali….analyzing the same old stories of bump offs, insane party leaders getting more insane, roadside rape cases being fortuitously reported, babies getting exchanged in govt hospitals,……..OMG…yawns n more yawns….. Bored of sitting in front of the comp uninterestedly…… thinking bout things to write in my silly not-so-interesting blog. I think hard to come up with ideas that will sound droll n amusing but fail brazenly each n every time. Bored of tossing through the pages of sum borrowed novel .I skip breakfasts n taking a bath sometimes nowadays n wonder helplessly how unattractive I am becoming bit by bit…. bronzed n sun-tanned, measurements reducing, falling hair, pimples budding, eyelashes lessening…..ohh!!!..I’ll never get married now…*shudders*!!!.... Bored of having lunch that is only marginally discerning n just about slightly fit for human consumption dished out by my regularly complaining never endeavoring mom (well, nowadays grief stricken by my anorexic appetite, ma feeds me with her hands….yes…m 20 n m still fed….) Bored of my afternoon siestas….after which I wake up, eat again(with my own hands this time),watch TV, lament at my ugliness once more n solemnly have dinner afterwards(sumtyms fed agn) As I sit in front of my comp at night, I realize that m bored of gtalk too, where ppl leave, making excuses half way thru chats, lukn 4 better n “interesting” chat partners…..a jaded me still hangs in dere….till way past mid night, waiting to be sure that dad’s asleep…n then stealthily n surreptitiously tip-toe to ma’s side of the bed in their snug n inviting bedroom, the bed being large enough 2 accommodate a thin frame, stretch out wordlessly beside her, till my sanctified slumber dawns. N unlike d Indian Sensex, the course of events doesn’t really alter or falter any day….*sigh!!!!....m bored.
