It has been so hot all day and I am so hungry now!! I know both these expressions don’t really share things between them, but nevertheless, sweaty hunger pangs galore.
I was seeing this little thingy in my idiot box about how we can essentially work on our relationships and actually see changes happening in our lives. A young woman clad in an impeccably plain white saree, radiating intense grace and serenity, talked about how we should never expect to get something from a relationship but just to give and be peaceful, happy and content in return. This is just a cycle of karma that goes on and the outcome solely depends on how we perceive the things to be. Apparently, the waves of our life can be full of troughs and crests, but deep within, we can still be at peace with ourselves. She said something about how we should slowly and tactfully let go of all our expectations from our relationships, not because they are left unfulfilled, but because we actually have nothing to get from people as the seeds of our tranquility lie within us always. When we learn to give and love unconditionally, its like we are allowing the positive energy of love to flow through us first and then to the person concerned, primarily cleansing us of our own negativity in the process. By giving undemanding love, thus, we get much more in return. Peace is what prevails then. I know it’s not easy and may sound gibberish, but somehow, the woman in white touched me from athwart the 21” screen in front.
Among other things, its still so hot and I am still so hungry. The sweaty hunger pangs will scream their lungs off now.
