My 1st post of the year! I just wish the New Year brings with it the realization of promises n hopes made by every new dawn to each one of us…. There were things last year that had top billing n will inevitably plunk out as the major events of the previous year. These proceedings were not things that we wished for, but if wishes had wings, things would have been…..well… a bit different…..such as........ 1. Tata Nano would be seen on the roads with run of the mill middle class families savoring their day outs in a self-owned four wheeler, sending both, the now out of work engineers n Ratan Tata, gleefully 2 the bank by the year end. 2. Priyanka Chopra would have looked less silly with red hair if a crap in the name of sci-fi was not made, Vidya Balan would have lost a lot more flab n exhibited an improved fashion sense n a certain Indian superhero called Drona would not have worn a sherwani like attire to fight wars for saving humankind . 3. Terrorists would find healthier means to vent their hatred n anguish and innocent lives would not have been slaughtered n massacred in the name of Allah n jihad. 4. The blow of recession wouldn’t have been felt this hard so that Indian economy would still hold strong n stock exchanges would have seen better parties this New Year’s eve. 5. The over hyped Ghajini would have been a tad less violent so that our Christmas would have been spent without images of revenge n aggression. 6. The television strike would not have occurred so that our poor moms n grandmas could pass less boring evenings learning and re-learning the re-re-telecasted dialogues of their favrt serials. 7. Shahrukh Khan n his production company would recover all its money if the Kolkata Knight Riders could play better matches. 8. Eden Garden would have better services for the crowd with a working electronic score board n certainly without the embarrassment of standing in downright darkness waiting for the stadium lights to flicker back to life during day-night matches. 9. The malls n HIG high rise apartment boom that has gripped our metropolis would give a teensy weensy bit of its investment share to the less privileged old age homes n orphanages to gift common people better lives to live. 10. Our bus drivers n rich dad’s errant sons would know the driving rules well so that street ethics would be better abided by and innocent road traffic deaths would progressively subside.

sigh!!!!!...if only wishes had wings.......
